Pots N Pans Cooking #1| Soto Ayam Indonesian Soup
BY KEZIAH
Here is a soup from a recipe I made. Soto Ayam or chicken soup. Since I did not have any chicken quarters, I used turkey legs instead substituted for this soup that I made. I did not only sauté the sauce from the packet but I sauté also the rest of the ingredients together with the sauce. That is how it is going to be broken down on this recipe.
Ingredients:
Soto Ayam Indonesian Soup Mix
2 Turkey Legs
Bean sprouts
2 Garlic Cloves
2 Tomatoes
3 Small Asian limes
1 Onion
1 Carrot
What to do?:
Boil turkey legs on the pot while seasoned it with salt. Cook about 30-45 minutes until it is soft enough to debone.
Let it cool, then debone. Set aside.
Slice tomatoes, chop onion. Cut in half small Asian limes, Peel carrot and slice diagonally into thin slices. Wash bean sprouts thoroughly.
In a pan, sauté garlic, onion and half amount of tomatoes. 1-2 minutes.
Mix in shredded turkey, carrot slices and simmer with Indonesian Soup Mix.
Lastly, mix in bean sprouts.
Assemble in big bowl contents in the pan and pour in broth.
Garnish with boiled egg and fried shallots.
